This was all right. Better than I thought it would be, but not as amazing as what I had heard about. I do think it would make a good movie. Abby Abernathy - good girl with a history is determined not to fall for bad boy Travis Maddox. Guess what though..? She cant resist him and he cant resist her. Its all very predictable and straightforward. No surprises just great chemistry between the two main characters and makes it hard to put it down.
I guess it depends on expectations. I picked it up expecting it to suck and it surprised me when it didn't. There is something about a romance, where there are sparks flying yet you have to wait 200 pages for them to finally get together, that makes for fast reading.
I would recommend it to romance readers everywhere. It is not racy or provocative like Fifty Shades of Grey. Nor is it like the Night Circus, where the writing and the romance and the descriptions take your breath away. Its just a fun, light read. If romances are your cup of tea, you will enjoy this. I found it a little over-rated but it wasn't all bad.

Rapture by Kameron Hurley
This is one of the most original and interesting series I have read in a long time and it was sad to see it end. As the last book of the series it is more of the same. Expect a lot of bloodshed and a lot of beheadings. Nyx is recruited by the Bel Dames to go on a mission to find someone that she thought she killed. She reunites with some of the characters from the previous books. There is however a new character who is a little bit crazy and a lot scary powerful. I absolutely loved her! Once again, no one is who you think they are - except for Rhys - and they all try they darnest to kill our Nyx - except for Rhys.
I love Nyx. She is such a great blend of completely screwed up and completely in control. It makes for interesting reading. I was hoping for a happy ending, but afterI finished reading it I realized it had to end the way it did. Anything different wouldn't feel right.
Its fast paced, brutal, unique, sometimes downright depressing and still, I wouldn't change a thing. Great ending for a great series. Can't wait to read what Kameron writes next.
